Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Kaikaran ("we", "us") provides property care services and a software platform for owners of homes, flats and plots in Kerala. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, mobile number, country and preferred language.
- Property data: address, town, locality, key-holder details, photos taken during visits, and documents you upload (for example Pattayam, Thandaper, tax receipts).
- Service data: requests, quotations, messages, visit reports and ratings.
- Payment data: invoice and payment records. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partners (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal); we never store full card numbers.
- Technical data: device, browser, IP address and log entries needed to keep the service secure.
3. Why we use it
We use your data to deliver the plan you buy, send alerts and invoices, keep an audit trail of actions on your property, prevent fraud and meet tax and legal duties. We ask for your consent for each purpose and record the version of this notice you agreed to.
4. Who can see it
Account managers see only your first name and a short client ID. Your surname, phone, email, address and payments are visible only to you, your invited family members (as you allow) and the firm owner. Vendors see only the job and the property address. Every view of contact details by the firm owner is written to an audit log.
5. Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform (hosting, messaging, payments, email) and when required by law. We do not sell personal data.
6. Storage and security
Data is stored in India where possible, encrypted in transit and at rest. Files are private and served through short-lived links. Access is limited by role.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or ask us to erase your data, and withdraw any consent as easily as you gave it, from your profile page. Until your account is archived you may request deletion; after archive, deletion is not offered, and invoices and payment records are retained for the period tax law requires.
8. Retention
When you leave, you have 30 days to download your data. It is then archived and locked.
9. Grievance contact
Grievance Officer – grievance@kaikaran.example. We aim to respond within the time set by applicable law.
10. Changes
We will publish any change here with a new version number and effective date and ask for fresh consent where the law requires.
